Product Description

A striking 1.75-inch brass coin showcases the USS Washington’s crest, blending Washington State symbols like Mount Rainier, the Seattle skyline, and evergreen trees. Its central image features a submarine emerging from Puget Sound, adorned with a paint scheme resembling Native American art depicting the state’s official marine mammal, the orca whale.

At the top of the state border, six hollow stars represent previous naval vessels named after George Washington, while two solid gold stars denote ships named for the state. At the bottom, silver and gold submarine dolphins symbolize enlisted and officer warfare insignia. These elements rest atop a block of battleship armor plating displaying the ship’s name and motto: “Preserving Peace, Prepared for War,” inspired by a quote from George Washington, emphasizing readiness as a key to preserving peace.

Would make an excellent addition to your collection or for your favorite sailor!

OPTIONAL: Our Air-Tite acrylic cases provide the ultimate long-term protection for your coin. They are made of crystal clear, hard Acrylic and will never yellow over time; the foam rings are made of Volara, and both are free of PVC that could damage your coin.
