Product Description

This highly detailed 1.75-inch hand-painted brass coin for the Bathyscaph Trieste DSV-0 honors the two-man crew on her world record dive in the Mariana Trench. On 23 January 1960, Jacques Piccard and US Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh reached a record depth of about 10,911 meters (35,797 ft), making her the first manned vessel to reach the bottom of the Challenger Deep, the deepest known part of the Earth's Oceans, in the Pacific Ocean.

It would make an excellent addition to your collection or for your favorite sailor!

OPTIONAL: Our Air-Tite acrylic cases provide the ultimate long-term protection for your coin. They are made of crystal clear, hard Acrylic and will never yellow over time; the foam rings are made of Volara and both are free of PVC that could damage your coin.
