Die struck out of thicker blanks, this coin will have a substantive feel to it as well. The obverse features the colors of the Armed Forces Expeditionary Service Medal ribbon and depicts an eagle standing on a sword loosened in its scabbard, and super- imposed on a radiant compass rose of eight points, representing the readiness to serve wherever needed. The reverse has space available for engraving. The coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
